Didn’t Wendy do a great job capturing those big blue eyes??
This picture is especially for Grandma. I was so surprised when I looked over at
Lisa and Braeden and saw him holding her legs.
I used to do the same thing when Grandma would come home from work. I guess there’s no arguing with genetics.
This is a picture of Braeden standing by a
couple of kids’ dragsters. This was at
our outing to the jet car and monster truck jam. Braeden LOVED the fast cars and the monster trucks!
Before we went to Midland (on our way to
Randy’s wedding), all Braeden could talk about was how he wanted to ride
Poppa’s tractor. However, when we got
there, it was a little different story.
He didn’t want to go anywhere near it, especially if it was
running. It took some coaxing and a lot
of assurance that we wouldn’t turn it on, but he finally got on the tractor and
“drove” it. It’s so cool to see my son
in pictures that look just like my childhood pics. Only in my pics, the tractor was red, and I really was driving it
(with Poppa’s help, of course, since I couldn’t reach the clutch, and didn’t
weigh enough to push it down).
When the kids and I went camping at Lake
Mary, we found this tunnel that goes under the highway to get from the campsite
to the lake. Unfortunately, we didn’t
find it until after we had crossed the highway twice! The kids both thought it was pretty cool to walk through the
tunnel and to be under the cars and trucks.
Braeden’s favorite toy that he received for
his birthday was the remote-controlled excavator.
This is a total blackmail picture. Note that the Scooby Doo underwear is on
backwards and he has chocolate cake on his mouth and chest. He chose to play with his tractor rather
than eat the rest of his cake.
While we were at Lake Powell, the kids had a
great time playing in the water on the beach.
Kimber rode in the tube, but Braden wouldn’t get in it unless it was
just sitting on the beach.
You can tell that Braeden is strongly influenced
by mommy. He wanted to be a racecar
driver for Halloween, so of course, mommy chose the Dale Earnhart, Jr.,
costume.
One of the gifts that Braeden got for
Christmas was an electric racecar set.
I of course had to help him set it up and make sure that it worked, but
he did enjoy it more than me.
Another gift for Braeden was a T-ball
set. The boy can whack a wiffle
ball. Unfortunately, he has also
figured out how to whack his sister…
The big gift from mommy and daddy this year
was a Spiderman bike. He’s always
trying to get on Kimber’s bike, which is too big for him, and he loves
Spiderman. So, this was the perfect
combination. He was soooo excited when
he saw his bike parked in the garage!
Here’s a pic of Braden riding his bike. In case you didn’t know it, riding is
serious business. Just look at his
face.
