Such a beautiful little girl… must be good genes.
I have been able to go with Kimber on a few
field trips. This one was a trip to the
dairy farm near the end of her Kindergarten year. The kids were feeding milk to the calves here.
Kimber played soccer this year. I don’t think she enjoyed the running around
so much. We received a postcard from
the league for the next season, but when I saw it on my desk, she had already
written “I dont wat to play sokr” on it.
Hmph! Guess we’ll have to figure
out some other team sport.
At the jet cars and monster truck event,
even Kimber had a great time.
This is one of my all-time favorite
pictures. On our way to Randy’s
wedding, while we were in Midland, we visited Grandma and Poppa. Braeden had been talking about riding the
tractor, but was too scared. Kimber
jumped at the opportunity to drive the lawn tractor. I can’t tell who was having a better time, Kimber or Poppa.
Can you believe my little girl is already
six years old? Someone must be getting
old! Don’t laugh, I was talking about
YOU!!
Another field trip that I was able to go on
was her first grade Fire Prevention field trip. The Fire Department had an elaborate setup at a local park.
Kimber was able to put out the fire in this
small apartment complex. The kids
enjoyed spraying the fire hose, and they didn’t even spray each other (or the
adults)!
Kimber wanted to be a princess for
Halloween, so mommy put a little make-up on her and she was quite beautiful.
At the White Sands Missile Mueseum, the kids
wandered around checking out the various displays. Part of Kimber’s homework over the Christmas break was to write a
journal about what she did, so we took a few pics of her and Braeden.
Here’s a shot of the two happy kiddos in
front of our tree on Christmas morning.
Kimber’s big gift from mommy and daddy was a
“Blue Man Group” keyboard. I thought
she’d be a little more into it since she’s always singing and dancing, but I
think it was just an “ok” gift in her view.
