Welcome

This is a great picture of Lisa. Wendy did an awesome job on our family photos. However, for this webpage, Lisa is facing the wrong direction (in my over-analytical, engineering mind) and I don’t have the fancy software to invert it. It’s DRIVING ME CRAZY!! I’m ok, now.
In February, we were visited (too briefly)
by the Peards. Sarah had eaten too much
pumpkin pie at Christmas so she was growing a little pumpkin in her tummy. As part of our fun times together, we
decided to take the boat to the lake (yes, you can do that when you live in the
desert!). It was a little chilly, but
not too cold for Dustin to waterski in jean shorts and a t-shirt! He popped right up on the first try, if I
remember correctly. So, Dustin was
officially the first person that I pulled behind my boat. Yeah, the certificate is in the mail,
Dustin. Go wait by the mailbox. ;-P
Here’s a picture of mommy and the kids on
Mother’s Day. It’s amazing to see how
much the kids changed over this year, especially Braeden! I guess you don’t notice it so much when you
see them every day.
I’m relatively certain that most of you have
heard this story, but in case you have Alzheimer’s, I’ll tell it again (the
brief version). I was sitting on the
couch while Braeden was talking on the phone to my family (in Midland) when I
saw something go by the sliding glass door.
I rose with a clatter, to see what was the matter. Oh, wait, wrong story. Anyway, I found that there were two
Chihuahua puppies in our back yard.
They had no tags, and we weren’t sure how they got there.
Braeden and I walked the neighborhood asking
people if they knew whose dogs they were, but to no avail. So, we had new puppy visitors for
Thanksgiving. I wanted to name them
Taco and Belle, but Kimber wouldn’t go for it.
So, we named them Chico (boy) and Huera (white girl). Everyone quickly fell in love with them, but
alas, the owners returned from vacation and claimed them. So, we began the quest of looking for new
little Chihuahuas for our family.
Fast forward to the Ruidoso trip… We didn’t
really get an action shot of Lisa skiing, so you’ll just have to peep at this
one for proof that Lisa did get out on the bunny slopes and ski. That’s her near the center of the picture
with her back turned. I won’t embarrass
her with stories of how she nearly crashed me or how she tried to pull down my
dad, because I’m that thoughtful. But,
you can ask her about them…
Here’s a picture of some of the gang. Lisa is on the left, Randy’s wife, Leslie,
is in the red. Then there’s me, looking
quite sporty, of course. On the right
is Kimber and Braeden is standing just behind her (mostly hidden).
I told a couple friends at work the story
about our Chihuahua visitors. One
friend said that her neice had a couple Chihuahua puppies (around 2 years old)
and she was looking for a new home for them.
So, when we got home from our trip, we called and went to meet these
dogs. In this picture, can you find
Chloe?
The next day, we adopted Chloe (the white
one) and Sophie (the smaller, tan one).
Lisa finally got her little lap dogs.
I think they are finally getting used to being around the kids.
